Ammo Wins Big at IoT Awards
Ammo recently took home the award for innovation within the secondary industries at the IoT Hub Awards 2017. The award recognised the successful implementation of our Smart Pinning Station within the ports industry. This product is part of our continued commitment to innovating the way safety and operational efficiency is achieved within the logistics industries.
One of Ammo’s founders, Peter Caddick was on hand to receive the award on behalf of the rest of the team. He thanked each of the Ammo team, past and present who worked on the Smart Pinning Station project. Thanks to IoT Hub Australia for recognising our continued mission of making the working environments safer and more efficient and to Digital Edge for hosting a wonderful event.
Through a combination of RFID and radar technologies, the Smart Pinning Station was introduced to create a safe area with proximity control for the Stevedores interacting with large machinery within the wharf. Many companies have tried to use RFID to improve safety within the port environment but have failed. Ammo is the first company to successfully test and implement an RFID-based safety solution within a major port. Since installation, there have been no injuries or incidents to operation personnel.
We hope this is the first of many awards for Ammo as we continue to build relationships with our clients and work with them to tailor our RFID and EMF solutions for the future.
